i don't know but it looks like i am going to get one they have abounch of extra stuff that they need

The DSi is shaped the same way and has the same size as a DS lite, if you have one you will not need to buy a new case. It can play all DS games. The only real difference is that it has a camara and wireless internet acces. Her's a clear picture of it.
